• I believe that design is interconnected with what makes us human. We interact with life through our senses and good design brings out the best of these.

While there is a necessity for clear form and function with aesthetic expression, it is also important that design possesses function and feeling.

I aspire to reflect that understanding in my work, creating spaces and products that fulfill functional and useful needs but also enhance the emotional wellbeing and experience of people.

  • Before any work begins, I first run a short workshop to learn what is most important to you, especially from your emotional perspective. Your daily habits, from where you like to sit in the morning to where you like to be in the afternoon gives me a better insight into how you like to live. This insight is important no matter what the project is, be it a commercial space, home or object.

Following this workshop, we start to look at locations within your space and break down the key stages that will allow the design to unfold more fluidly. After we look at the flow of your space, the functionality of objects and your aesthetic tastes, we then start design concepts. But all throughout the process, we delve deeper and deeper into the details, while always returning to the insights and findings from the initial stages.

  • The Surroundings Workshop is based on a unique method developed by my friend, Suzie Wiley, an Australian architect. Through an array of questions and design tasks, the workshop allows us to identify what matters most.

    For Homes

What makes a home, a home? In this workshop, we examine behaviour and your emotional relationship to your living space, identifying what works and what doesn't, and ultimately hone in on what matters most to you.

    Materality Workshop

If you’re curious, the workshop can be booked on its own, with no further commitment to go down the design path with myself. It is a workshop that empowers people to discover and communicate what is important to them, to anyone. This, to me, means more people asking for designs that have a greater impact on their lives.
